JAIME STICH

OWNER / ARCHITECT

With an undergraduate degree in marine biology and zoology from Humboldt State University, my professional experience ranges from working with the International Bird Rescue and Research Center and their oil spill response team to participating in avian research with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, in and around Anchorage Alaska.

After earning my graduate degree in Architecture from the University of New Mexico I have been on both sides of the building process. I started my architecture career at TLCD Architecture following the completion of my masters. My work in TLCD's Healthcare Studio ranged from master planning medical facilities to departmental renovations. I was involved in marketing, business development, design, construction administration, and project management. With over 5 years of OSHPD experience, I gained a strong understanding of the permitting and construction administration processes while building a strong and enjoyable working relationship with the OSHPD field staff.

Wanting to experience other design opportunities I joined the team at Design Blitz in San Francisco for a year. Blitz is a full-service architecture and interior design firm, specializing in commercial design. Check them out, they do great work!

I decided to leave Blitz to be closer to my family and joined the team at Vine Hill Builders. Before the wildfires tore through Northern California, I was enjoying a strong design-build collaboration with them. This allowed me some design opportunities as well as time in the field, swinging a hammer with the crew.  As part of the recovery effort, I decided to focus full time on design and architecture, which I believe is the best way I can help my community rebuild.
