OUR PHILOSOPHY

With a degree from Humboldt State University's School of Marine Biology & Zoology, I started my professional career as a wildlife biologist. Through the twist and turns of life, my path led me to pursue a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of New Mexico's School of Architecture and Planning with an emphasis on sustainable design. At Studio[8] we bring that emphasis to all of our designs in every way we can. Our work spans from residential architecture to commercial and healthcare projects, I continue to be fortunate enough to work with clients, contractors and other designers who are open to both great design and reinterpreting the way that we interact with our built world. Studio [8] Architecture was born out of the desire to take on a wider range of clients and open up the possibility to collaborate with other design professionals and licensed architects in our community.

The wildfires that have plagued our area since 2017 have provided unwanted work but important work. Rebuilding our community has been extremely emotional and difficult for us and our community but helping to rebuild our community has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives. We believe that everyone should have access to good design and have always been very proud of the rebuilding work we have been a part of.
